Da Nang - Hoi An Vacation Day #1

For convenience, our advice is when arriving at Da Nang Airport, you should take a taxi or rent a car, shuttle bus to Hoi An for saving time. (USD ~$5.38 – $12.9)

If you arrive at Hoi An before check-in time, walking around or having lunch can buy you some time (ask the receptionist to leave your luggage at the accommodation)

For lunch, you can try the signature Hoi An dish called White Rose (Hoa Hồng Trắng) at 533 Hai Ba Trung. (USD ~$4.25)

Afterward, grab a taxi to An Bang Beach for swimming (USD $12.76/ 4-seater vehicle), photo shooting or just relax by the beach. Some even choose to stay overnight; however, the location is quite far from Hoi An center so it may be boring at night.

By the time getting back to Hoi An ancient town, you can now check-in and take a shower, relax for an hour before heading to the old town and immerse in the nightlife here. 

There are a lot of local activities that travelers can join folk games on the streets near the Hoai River. Just get on the street and stroll along to watch the Hoi An at night, you’ll easily catch a sound of Vietnamese song and people gather around. Join them if you want because the game rules are simple and unique gifts will be yours if winning.

For dinner, a plate of tender chicken meat and scented rice that cooked in chicken broth, dressing with mixed fish sauce will satisfy your hunger and curiosity about Hoi An cuisine.

Keep walking to the Hoi An night market just across the An Hoi bridge, bring home many handmade, local souvenirs and street food to enjoy before heading back to the hotel.

If you’d like to rent a boat to observe the beautiful Hoi An at night and drop the lantern flower into the river for making a wish. Just come to any boat that parks by the river and negotiate for $6,46 (lanterns included)

Da Nang, Hoi An Vacation Day #2
